Schools in Massachusetts are mandated by the State to conduct Body Mass Index (BMI) screenings on students in grades 1, 4, 7 and 10. This screening will be done at the High School during the month of December. After measuring your child’s height and weight, the BMI will be calculated and results sent to you in a confidential manner. Parents/guardians may request in writing if they do not want their child to participate. Please contact the school nurse to discuss this or any other issue. Resources about healthy living are available on our school district web site
