Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students of the Class of 2018,
We wish to extend your first official welcome to the Medway High School! Now that you are more than half-way through your eighth grade year, we are looking forward to your becoming a part of our high school community in September. Medway High School is a wonderful place, designed to meet the needs of students of all abilities by providing a rigorous academic program, in addition to a broad range of elective offerings, and numerous extra-curricular opportunities.
This event is for all current grade 8 students and their parents.
So that you may learn about the high school, the MHS administration, staff, and students are presenting a program on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, beginning at 6:30 pm in our auditorium. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions about the high school and the many options that will soon become available to you.
The administration, educational leaders, and athletic director will each give a brief overview of the ninth grade experience, and also talk about course expectations and the differences between levels at the high school. You will then break into smaller groups and have an opportunity to tour our facility and hear from faculty and students about our many exciting academic, elective, and extra-curricular programs.
Please be aware that this event involves guided tours of the building. Our building is large, and I recommend that comfortable shoes be considered. The event concludes by 9:00 pm.
This Blog is a way to keep the Medway community informed of what is happening at Medway High School.

Course Selection Day Approaches
Course selection day for students in the classes of 2015, 2016, and 2017 is Monday, Feb10 (weather permitting). On that day, students will receive a color-coded sheet similar to the links, below, that they will bring to their teachers to initial their recommendation. It is also the opportunity for students to indicate their elective courses and alternate courses (alternate courses are scheduled if the student is unable to be enrolled in their chosen elective course).
The links to the forms, below, are to assist students and parents, and are to be used only for planning purposes. The core courses entered into the database are based on teacher recommendation, as recorded on the aforementioned color form that will be handed out to students on February 10. Once the recommendations and elective selections are input, parents can review them for accuracy. An email will be sent once their are ready for review.

Vandalism at Turf Field
February 3, 2014
Dear Medway High School Community,
We are angered and sorry to share that the Medway High School press box and concession stand at the turf field were vandalized this past weekend. Medway police are investigating, which involves fingerprinting the area and reviewing security videos. To support this process, we are asking for your helping in identifying those responsible. If you have any information that you think may help, please contact Medway Police, Mr. Pearl, our Athletic Director, or Dr. Dias, MHS Principal.
Our facilities remain in outstanding condition due to the hard work of our custodial and maintenance staff, as well as the respect that students, staff, and the community consistently demonstrate when on campus. As respect is a core value at MHS, incidents such as this are particularly concerning.
Sincerely
Medway High School Administration
